After writing some for Open Mic UK's artist advice blog, I came on board as a content editor with the aim of increasing blog traffic from under 10,000 to over 100,000 monthly visitors. We had ambitious monthly milestones for growth that were consistently met and we reached our target 3 months earlier than anticipated.
I was responsible for helping create ideas for content, briefing and scheduling deadlines for writers and then editing and optimising web content to increase organic traffic. I was able to edit content to outrank many other article in Google that led to a rapid increase in organic growth.
I also helped lead initiatives to engage our audience directly. Our team created a set of hashtags that have been used by hundreds of artists to promote the company. I also rebranded the YouTube page with playlists featuring former winners and new educational videos that I helped edit.
